CARLA RICCOBONI, designer e ricercatrice orafa, pioniera dell’autoproduzione negli anni ‘80, è considerata tra i “maestri” del gioiello italiano contemporaneo.
Filo conduttore della sua ricerca è l’attenzione rivolta al segno, al ritmo e alle scritture, risolti in termini di raffinate sequenze geometriche come le catene ALPHABET o tesi al recupero di antichi repertori, come i tracciati arabo-bizantini della collezione VENEZIA e i simboli archetipi della collezione MADREFORME.
I suoi pezzi, prevalentemente multipli, sono realizzati con le tecniche meccaniche tipiche del distretto orafo di Vicenza.
Dopo la chiusura della sua attività nel 2017, il suo interesse si concentra sulla ricerca.
Coordina alcune esperienze di progettazione collettiva per L’Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo AGC (MULTIPLI SINGOLARI) e per Le Arti Orafe LAO di Firenze (SEGNI SUL VOLTO).
I lavori più recenti, VELI e VOCI, hanno come tema la voce, sia in senso reale che metaforico e affrontano il rapporto tra le nuove tecnologie e le tecniche tradizionali.
Carla Riccoboni vive e lavora a Bassano del Grappa (VI).
CARLA RICCOBONI, jewellery designer and researcher, pioneer of self-production in the 1980s, is considered among the “masters” of the Italian contemporary jewellery scene. The underlying theme of her research is a focus on signs, rhythms and writings. It is expressed through refined geometric sequences like the “ALPHABET” chains, recovering ancient repertoires, such as Arabic-Byzantine patterns of the “VENEZIA” collection and the archetypal symbols of the “MADREFORME” collection.
After closing her business in 2017, her interest focused on research.
She coordinates several collective design experiences for the AGC Association (MULTIPLI SINGOLARI) and for the LAO School of Gold Arts of Florence (SEGNI SUL VOLTO).
Her most recent works ”VELI e VOCI”, have the voice as their theme, both in a real and metaphorical sense, and explore the relationship between new technologies and traditional techniques.
